The CEL asks faculty who regularly teach service-learning courses to request a service-learning course designation so that the class is properly tagged in Banner. This designation appears in all registration materials.
Once a course has been designated, a syllabus will be required to be on file in the CCE each semester the course is taught as a service-learning class. However, applying for designation is a one-time process that follows the professor and the course—once you complete the process for a particular course, the next time you offer the same course, we will add the designation in Banner (unless you ever asked us to remove it).
