President Conway-Turner appointed the following individuals to the Civic Action Plan Work Group in summer 2016, and charged the committee with creating a five-year civic engagement plan for Buffalo State. The work group wrote the plan during the 2016-2017 academic year, with input from the college and community. The plan was signed by Dr. Conway-Turner in spring 2017 and submitted to Campus Compact.

The committee met throughout the fall semester, reviewed existing documents and recommendations, garnered information from across campus, and drafted a plan to share with the campus. A second draft was presented to the campus early in the spring 2017 semester, and further revisions were integrated with the final plan presented to Dr. Conway-Turner in March 2017.
